Business Breakfast - Fall Edition 2018

Our traditional Fall Business Breakfast will be on
Wednesday, October 10, from 7.30AM to 9.30AM,
at the Grand Hôtel Suisse Majestic in Montreux

For this occasion, we are honored to receive Mr Alain Dufaux, Director of Operations and of development, and Mr Alexandre Camus, Project Manager, both from the Metamerdia Center of the EPFL. They will speak on the following topic:
“The Montreux Jazz Digital Project:  an innovation accelerator, a starting point for the festivals’s heritage?”

The audiovisual archives of the Montreux Jazz Festival contain recordings from the greatest musicians of our times. The collection, a total of 5000 hours of concert since 1967, is now part of UNESCO’s Memory of the World program. The Claude Nobs Foundation was created in 2013 to ensure the preservation of this archives for the generations to come.
The Montreux Jazz Digital Project started in 2007 at the EPFL in order to digitize the collection, and to entrust it to researchers so they could enrich it through many innovative projects.
A Montreux Jazz Café has opened on the campus to make the contents available to the public. Currently, new studies in social sciences will start to analyze the impact of the festival on populations, local ones, but also on an international level.

Admission per person:
CHF 45.-for members // CHF 60.- for non-members
